Accessibility

Our goal

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, across the whole site and the installed app.

The site is currently partially conformant: the points not yet conformant are listed below, with what we are doing about them.

What we do

• Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator on every active element.
• A “Skip to content” link goes straight to the content of each page.
• Every form field has a label, and its instructions are read out by screen readers.
• Confirmation and error messages are announced automatically and say what to do.
• Text keeps sufficient contrast with its background, in the light theme as in the dark theme.
• Pages remain readable with text enlarged up to 200% and on a screen 360 pixels wide.
• Animations stop when your device asks for reduced motion.
• Charts come with their values as text or in a table.
• Forms work even without JavaScript.
• Every page declares its language and writing direction, so speech synthesis reads it correctly.
• Buttons and fields are at least 44 pixels tall, an easy size to tap.
• The installed app works in both portrait and landscape.

Known limitations

• Some chart colours have low contrast; their values are always available as text.
• Generated PDF documents (CVs, payslips, invoices) are not yet tagged for screen readers.
• Videos and voice messages posted by users have neither captions nor transcripts.
• Content written by users (offers, profiles, posts) may not follow every rule.
• Navigation by icons and by voice, for people who do not read, is planned but not yet available.
• The embedded map (OpenStreetMap) is only partly accessible; the address is always shown as text.

How we check

Every new page is checked with a keyboard, with a screen reader and with the browsers’ audit tools, on computer and phone. This statement rests on our own assessment; an external audit is planned.
